At Narwal Dental Centre, we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality dental care—without financial stress. That’s why we’re proud to support the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), a federal program designed to make dental services more affordable for eligible Canadians.
What is the CDCP?
The CDCP is a Government of Canada initiative that provides dental coverage for Canadian residents who meet specific criteria. The goal is to remove financial barriers and help individuals and families receive the oral health care they need

- You don’t have access to dental insurance (through work, school, or a private plan)
- You have filed your taxes for the previous year
- You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes

What Does the CDCP Cover?
The CDCP offers a wide range of dental services, including:
- Exams, X-rays, and cleanings
- Fluoride treatments and sealants
- Fillings and root canals
- Periodontal (gum) care
- Dentures and repairs
- Crowns, bridges, and oral surgery (in certain cases)
It's important to understand that the CDCP established fees may differ from standard dental office fees. Any difference between the CDCP's coverage and our fees will be your responsibility. We encourage you to discuss potential out-of-pocket costs with our office before proceeding with treatment.
How Much Will It Cover?
The amount covered by the CDCP depends on your household income:
- Under $70,000: 100% of eligible fees covered
- Under $70,000: 60% covered
- $80,000 to $89,999: 40% covered
Note: The CDCP uses its own fee guide, which may be different from standard dental office fees. Any remaining balance not covered by the plan will be your responsibility
Ready to Apply?
Eligible individuals can apply directly through the Government of Canada website. Once approved, you’ll receive a membership card that you can bring to your appointment at Narwal Dental Centre.

- Coordination with Other Programs: If you have dental coverage through other government social programs, the CDCP coordinates benefits to avoid duplication. Please inform us of any additional coverage you may have.
